Mike Tyson believes he will reclaim his status as the ‘baddest man on the planet’ when he steps into the ring with Jake Paul in November.

The former heavyweight champion, now 58, will return to the professional arena for the first time in almost two decades in November to fight 27-year-old boxing upstart Paul in a bout to be broadcast live on Netflix on November 15, several months after their initially scheduled date in July was postponed due to Tyson experiencing a health issue.

And once they step finally into the ring with another in a few months’ time, Tyson is confident that Paul’s relative inexperience will be his downfall.

“Let’s look at it, who else is he going to fight to make this happen? You just have to listen to the facts. We got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter that ever lived,” Tyson said at a press event in New York City on Sunday.

He later turned his attention to his forthcoming opponent, saying that he expects the experience to be “very painful” for Paul.

“Be in shape. Be in good shape because your health depends on it. Listen, as soon as I catch this guy, he’s going to be running around. As soon as I catch this guy, it’s going to be totally over.”

He added: “He’s going to run like a thief.”

Paul, though, said that he has seen all of this before.

“Every time, these fighters sit across from me and it’s YouTubers, Disney Channel, all that shit, and then you end up on the f*cking canvas. And you’ll see, it’s going to be no different here. I promise you that,” he said.
