Throughout his entire career, only two men can lay claim to holding a win over Daniel Cormier under mixed martial arts rules. On November 16, they fight each other.
Throughout his (at some point) Hall of Fame career Cormier — one of a very short list of fighters to have held two UFC titles simultaneously — was defeated just three times, twice to Stipe Miocic in their trilogy and once to Jon Jones (as well as another fight against Jones that was changed to a no-contest after Jones had ‘won’ the fight by KO).
At UFC 309, in what will be his first fight since March 2021, Miocic returns to the cage for what is heavily rumoured to be his final career fight where he will attempt to do what Cormier couldn’t do in two outings: defeat Jon Jones.
