Jon Jones appears to be impressed by Tom Aspinall’s handiwork at last weekend’s UFC 304.

The Englishman defended his interim UFC heavyweight title in the co-headliner inside Manchester’s new Co-Op Live arena, ending top contender Curtis Blaydes’ night just one minute inside the first round. Afterwards, Aspinall made clear that his next move will be to secure undisputed heavyweight gold; a plan which may require him to spend some time on the sidelines to await the tentatively scheduled Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic matchup that is expected to take place later this year.

And soon after Aspinall’s win, Jones took to social media in an apparent reference to his rival.

“Supply and demand at its finest, I love it,” Jones wrote on Twitter of the surging Briton.

After his fight, Aspinall referenced Jones to the media.

“Jon’s the undisputed champion, but I’m the best in the world, if that makes any sense,” Aspinall said, as noted by MMA Fighting. “We know what Jon’s doing. Jon was there, crossing his fingers and toes tonight hoping I’d lose to Curtis, let’s not bullshit about it. He posted about it loads anyway that I’m going to lose to him. That didn’t happen, so that’s the fight I want next.”
