With just over a week remaining until the kickoff of UFC 300, Dana White has hinted that a formal announcement as to Conor McGregor’s future is forthcoming.
The Dubliner has been absent from the cage since sustaining a serious leg injury in his most recent bout in the Octagon in the summer of 2021 but now fully healed and ready to go (and now a bona fide Hollywood star, at least according to the streaming figures for ‘Road House’) we are awaiting a formal announcement of McGregor’s return fight.
And if Dana White’s latest social media missive is to be taken at face value, that announcement might be coming sooner rather than later.

Speaking last month while promoting the March release of ‘Road House,’ McGregor said that his fight — likely against Michael Chandler — is “all systems go” and that “The Mac’, ‘The Notorious’ will be returning to the UFC Octagon this summer.”
It remains to be seen if and when the UFC will confirm McGregor’s next fight — but next weekend’s UFC 300 event in Las Vegas would be a suitable stage to promote the return of the organisation’s biggest box office commodity.
For now though, we wait.
