UFC lightweight Bobby Green, who fights Jalin Turner this weekend in Texas, has claimed in a video posted to social media that he was attacked by fellow 155-pound fighter Arman Tsarukyan and his entourage at their hotel in Austin.
In a series of videos posted to social media that appear to show a confrontation in a hotel lobby, Green also states that he struck a man who was apparently an associate of Tsarukyan, who fights Beneil Dariush in this weekend’s main event.
“Hey, I won’t be starting nothing with nobody, but if you start that sh*t with me, I’m definitely gonna finish it,” Green says in one of the clips. “It’s just starting, might go to jail tonight. F*ck around playing with me. So this b******* ran up on me and sh*t trying to start that sh*t He didn’t know I was gonna finish sh*t. I socked one of his homies. Stop playing with me, bro.
“I need somebody else too to tell me who that is in that video. I don’t know who the f*ck he is. But he was acting super tough when they ran up on me by myself — and they was acting all that tough. As soon as I ran into the again with my n*****, then he was, ‘Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.’ You started this sh*t and then as soon as security come and all that sh*t, now you wanna act tough again.”
In response to the matter Green management team at Iridium Sports Agency released a statement to social media.
“During a media interview earlier today, Iridium Sports Agency client Bobby Green was unprovokingly accosted and attacked by a member of Arman Tsarukyan’s team at the UFC host hotel. Bobby tried to avoid the conflict, but he was put in a position where he had to defend himself and his coach from the larger, aggressive group.”
Green has previously stated his belief that Tsarukyan is a ‘boring’ fighter and has indicated that he has no interest in competing against him in the cage.
