Darren Till is no longer with the UFC, for the time being at least.
The Englishman, who is on a 1-5 run the organisation dating back to 2018, confirmed on Twitter early on Wednesday that he asked for, and was granted, his release from the UFC.
“What’s happening everyone,” Till wrote. “Me, Hunter and Dana are still cool as f*ck. I asked UFC 2 remove me just to sort some sh*t for the foreseeable, they happily agreed to release me out of my contract which I appreciate. I’m not going anywhere, got big plans to execute & I’ll be back.”

Till’s statement comes after the UFC Roster Watch Twitter account indicated late on Tuesday that Till was no longer an active competitor.
The Liverpool man, who is a former world title challenger in the UFC’s welterweight division, was last seen in the cage in December where he was submitted in the third round by South African middleweight Dricus Du Plessis, which followed successive losses to Derek Brunson and Robert Whittaker.
He has also recorded stoppage losses against Jorge Masvidal and Tyron Woodley, in his sole title-shot to date in what was the first loss of his career. His sole win during this run was a split decision against Kelvin Gastelum in November 2019.
