Tyson Fury has confirmed a deal is in place for him to meet fellow heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua next year in what will undoubtedly be the biggest British boxing match of all time.
The two fan favourites are set to meet in the ring in a unification fight for all of boxing’s heavyweight titles next year — so long as both men can defeat their next challenges in Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev. After promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed a deal was in place for the two men to meet, Fury took to his own social media to confirm the news.
“Literally over the line. Two fight deal. Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua next year,” Fury said. “One problem, just got to smash Deontay Wilder’s face right in next fight, and then we go into the Joshua fight next year. So there we are. The Gypsy King vs. AJ is on for next year but there is a hurdle in the road called the Bronze Bomber, AKA the knockout king, and I will get onto him and knock him spark out and then we go onto the big fight.”
