It may not have happened when we first thought, but Francis Ngannou and Jair Rozenstruik are going to get into a cage and fight.

The two heavyweights have been added to the upcoming UFC 249, which takes place in an as yet unknown location. Brett Okamoto of ESPN first reported the news.

The two were meant to meet in the main event of the ill-fated UFC Columbus, which was originally scheduled for March 28 in Ohio. While that card eventually got scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic, Ngannou and Rozenstruik have remained public about their continuing to train, and both shared their desire to fight as soon as possible.

It seems they got their wish.
