Tyson Fury’s former coach Ben Davison believes Deontay Wilder’s heaviest weight of 231-pounds could be good news for Fury.
While Fury and Davison haven’t worked together for this particular fight, the pair are still firm friends. And with Fury hitting the scales at 273-pounds to Wilder’s 231, Davison thinks we’ll see a contest where endurance comes into play.
“Think Wilder coming in heavier is an advantage to Tyson,” Davison wrote on social media. “He can punch at any weight, added weight will slow [Wilder] down and fatigue him quicker. He’s an explosive type athlete not an endurance built athlete.”
Despite the fact he won’t be in Fury’s corner tomorrow night, Davison believes we’ll still see some of the old flair in Fury’s style that the pair of them worked on over the past couple of years.
“Yes and work he done with peter, and he’s other uncle Hughie and will put together all he’s experiences and knowledge he has gained from everybody,” Davison wrote.
