Frankie Edgar might have his eyes on a title shot against the winner of Max Holloway vs. Brian Ortega, but there’s another well known featherweight who wouldn’t mind acting as the roadblock to stop him.
Chan Sung Jung, perhaps better known by his moniker The Korean Zombie, was apparently watching Edgar’s win over Cub Swanson on Saturday night, and clearly saw something he liked.
And how did the call out manifest itself? Well, by using a copy of EA UFC 3 of course.
Jung posted a picture of his virtual self challenging Edgar with the simple caption “I want to fight with you.”
It would be Jung’s second fight since returning from his mandatory military conscription in South Korea. He made his comeback against Dennis Bermudez in February last year, and was set to meet Ricardo Lamas UFC 214 before an ACL injury forced him to pull out.
While Edgar might have his eyes on title contention, a bout with Sung Jung might generate too much fan interest for the UFC to ignore.
