If you thought Conor McGregor wasn’t sitting at home watching all of the UFC 223 madness play out, you were mistaken.

Yesterday, Tony Ferguson was forced to withdraw from his contest with Khabib Nurmagomedov after slipping on an electrical chord during UFC media duties and was then subsequently replaced with UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway.

Ferguson’s injury meant it was the fourth time a scheduled contest between himself and Nurmagomedov had to be scrapped, an unprecedented occurrence at this level of mixed martial arts. According to UFC president Dana White, Ferguson’s interim championship will be stripped, and Nurmagomedov’s upcoming fight with Holloway will be for the UFC lightweight title.

Currently, that belt is owned by McGregor himself, although the UFC have shied away from announcing he’s been stripped due to an apparent fear there could be injury dramas late in the day before fight night.

So, what exactly does the current champion think of the Easter weekend drama?
