When Ricardo Ramos landed his spinning elbow knockout on Aiemann Zahabi in the opening fight of the prelims, we said it would take something special to beat it as the defining knockout at UFC 217. Well, we may just have seen that.

Fresh from a Von Flue Choke, or a Von Preux as he might call it, Ovince St. Preux defeated Corey Anderson with a stunning head kick knockout on the prelims at UFC 217 in Madison Square Garden.

Anderson, previously the 6th ranked fighter in the 205-pound division, had success early by closing the distance with a grappling heavy attack against the cage. St. Preux scored a head kick in the first which served as a shot across Anderson’s bow, though Anderson composed himself.

He wouldn’t be so fortunate second time around.
