It’s fair to say that Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping have never really gotten along.

The two have fought each other twice, most noticeably at UFC 199, when Bisping knocked Rockhold out to win the UFC middleweight title. Both times, the verbal back and forth between the two flowed.

Ever since UFC 199, which took place last Summer, Rockhold has been angling for a third fight (and rubber match) between the two, so as he could prove Bisping’s shocking victory was nothing more than a fluke. In response, Bisping (not surprisingly) has enjoyed Rockhold’s frustrations.

Now, in light of Bisping defending his title against Georges St-Pierre this November, Rockhold has labelled the Brit’s title reign as ‘the worst in UFC history’.

“I think it’s the worst in UFC history,” Rockhold said of Bisping’s title run on UFC Tonight. “No one has ever gotten that treatment. No one has ever avoided every top contender. He was supposed to fight Jacare [Souza], he avoided that. He was supposed to fight Yoel [Romero], he avoided that. And somehow he’s getting away from this fight with [Robert] Whittaker.

“He found Dan Henderson, the number 14th ranked at the time, and now he’s going for GSP. I just fought a guy four spots higher than the last guy he fought — his ‘title defence’ … I’m going to put myself in position. He has a choice, he either stands a fights like a man, or he runs. And we all know what he’s doing. He’s ran from the start, and it looks like he’s going to run to the finish.”
