Frankie Edgar will finally receive his title shot against Max Holloway.

The UFC have rebooked the fight for UFC 222 on March 4, in Las Vegas, Nevada, MMAJunkie reports. Edgar and Holloway had originally been set to face each other at UFC 218 in Detroit, Michigan last year. The bout was scrapped after Edgar suffered damage to his orbital bone in the closing stages of his training camp.

After that, Holloway was quick to accept any other potential contender, including Cub Swanson and former champion Jose Aldo. In the end, it was Aldo that Holloway met in a rematch, whom he dispatched handily in the third round.

Since then Holloway was named fighter of the year by various outlets, including TheMacLife.com (based on a fan vote). While his reign at featherweight appears to have the potential to become quite the dynasty, Edgar is seen as one of the wily veterans with phenomenal wrestling that could cause Holloway problems.

Come March, it seems we’ll find out just how many problems that is.
