Tom ‘Fire Kid’ Duquesnoy (14-1-0-1), the former BAMMA bantamweight and featherweight world champion, has his first UFC booking.

The French phenom will face Patrick Williams (8-4) in the bantamweight fold at the UFC on Fox 24 event to be held in Kansas City on April 15th. The card is set to be headlined by a women’s strawweight clash between Rosa Namajunas and Michelle Waterson.

The 23-year-old Duquesnoy, who trains out of Jackson-Wink in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was considered by many to be one of the biggest prospects outside of the UFC until he announced his signing to organisation earlier this year. Most recently, Duquesnoy defended his BAMMA bantamweight strap with a second round rear naked choke victory over Alan Philpott at BAMMA 27 last December.

Duquesnoy’s opponent, Patrick Williams, is 1-1 in his two UFC outings thus far. The 35-year-old lost to Chris Beal on his debut and rebounded with a quick guillotine choke submission victory over Alejandro Perez at UFC 188 — his most recent outing in the cage.

The ‘Fire Kid’ has said that he already has his eye on the UFC bantamweight title currently held by Cody Garbrandt and he will surely be looking to show off exactly why he is considered to be one of the best European prospects in years with a decisive victory over Williams.
