Headliners Vitor Belfort and Kelvin Gastelum have both made weight ahead of their middleweight clash at UFC Fortaleza on Saturday night.

Gastelum, for whom this is a second assignment in his new home at 185-pounds, tipped the scales at 185-pounds while Belfort, the former light heavyweight champion, weighed in at 186-pounds. In the co-main event, a light-heavyweight bout between Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Gian Villante, both fighters registered weights of 206-pounds.

The main event is an intriguing one. After winning his middleweight debut with a stunning performance against Tim Kennedy, Kelvin Gastelum might just have stumbled upon his ideal fighting weight but that will be put to severe test on Saturday night against Brazilian veteran Belfort, who will be fighting in front of his home crowd.

Belfort, on the other hand, comes into this bout on the back of two successive knockouts to Gegard Mousasi and Ronaldo Souza and, with the power that Gastelum possesses in his hands, Belfort will be doing all in power to avoid a fourth on the trot.
