Artem Lobov’s next date inside a fighting arena has been set, thought this time The Russian Hammer won’t be the one slinging the leather.

Lobov has been confirmed for commentary duty for this weekend’s Fight Nights Global 68 event from St. Petersburg in Russia, an event which will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass.

The event will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between the undefeated Sergey Pavlovich (10-0) and Mikhail Mokhnatkin (9-1-2), a fight which was due to take place last March before a family emergency forced Pavlovich to reschedule. Undefeated former Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov will face former UFC contender Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva in the co-main event, while another recent UFC signee Nikita Krylov is also slated to compete.

Lobov was last seen in the UFC cage in April when he lost a competitive decision to top featherweight contender Cub Swanson.

His on-air duties won’t be the first time that Lobov has dabbled in commentary, either. Among the many events that he has been involved in in various capacities, Lobov also provided commentary duties for John Kavanagh’s ‘Euro Fight Night’ event in Dublin in 2013.

Fight Nights Global 68 takes place on Friday and the event can be viewed in full via UFC Fight Pass.
