Well, Toronto has it’s main event.

Confirmed on UFC Tonight, Daniel Cormier will be defending his light heavyweight championship against Anthony Johnson at UFC 206.

The fight had been speculated for some time, with both men going back and forth on social media about when the bout would occur. Although UFC President Dana White had speculated that a bout between Johnson and former champion Jon Jones might be preferable, Jones current legal issues prevent him from being an option.

Cormier and Johnson originally faced each other at UFC 187 for the then-vacant light heavyweight championship, with Cormier surviving a stunning first round knockdown to come back and submit Johnson in the third.

Defending my belt @Ufc 206 , in the 6! Destiny lol. #runninthruthe6 #andstill #weareaka #downgoesrumble #again 😉
